In a world where education is the key to progress, some people do more than dream of a better future: they fight to build it, step by step. One such visionary is Shin Fujiyama, a Japanese man whose heart beats for Honduras.
Founder of One Thousand Schools, Shin has devoted his life to a clear mission: providing access to education for Honduras's most vulnerable children. His latest challenge demonstrates his unwavering commitment.
The 3,000 km Challenge
Right now, Shin is in the midst of a monumental challenge: running 3,000 km from the United States–Mexico border to San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
Every kilometer has a clear purpose: raising funds to build schools in Honduras, where thousands of children lack access to adequate education.

What began as a dream shared with other university students has become a mission mobilizing communities and inspiring people worldwide to join his cause.
Shin's route is not only physically demanding but emotionally powerful. Along the way, every step represents new hope, another brick toward the future of children dreaming of a classroom where they can learn, grow, and change their destiny.
At Colplex, we had the honor of being part of this movement when Shin passed through Quetzaltenango. Sharing these moments with someone whose passion and energy are contagious was a privilege. Shin is not alone in this run: he is accompanied by the hopes and dreams of thousands of Honduran children, those who believe in education's transformative power, and those willing to do everything possible to change the course of many lives.
The Impact of His Journey
Shin's journey is not merely that of a runner, but of a man with a huge mission and an even bigger heart. Over the years, his work has transformed communities, building more than structures: he has created opportunities, dreams, and futures.
Every school built by One Thousand Schools proves that education is the strongest path to a brighter future. Every step Shin takes on his current journey reminds us that when there is a will to help, barriers disappear and mountains move.
Gratitude for His Courage and Passion
At Colplex, we want to congratulate Shin on his passion, dedication, and courage in taking on this monumental challenge. He is not only a tireless runner but also a visionary leader inspiring us all to dream big and work hard for causes that matter.
